The Armenians were seen as an obstacle to the Pan-Turkish movement and they were seen as "traitors" and possible allies neighboring Russia. The extreme nationalism coupled with centuries of mistrust set the stage for what was to come.
When we think of Genocide, the massacre of Armenians are often over looked. It was the first modern genocide and its important to study it, along with all other human rights violations, to help prevent such a tragedy from happening again.
The lessons of the Armenian Genocide were not lost on Adolf Hitler. The following is from the Armenian Genocide Resource Library for Teachers:
On August 22, 1939, in preparation for the impending invasion of Poland, Hitler stated to Reichmarshal Hermann Goering and the commanding generals at Obersalzberg...
"Our strength consists in our speed and in our brutality. Genghis Khan led millions of women and children to slaughter - with premeditation and a happy heart. History sees in him solely the founder of a state. It's a matter of indifference to me what a weak western European civilization will say about me.
I have issued the command - and I'll have anybody who utters but one word of criticism executed by a firing squad - that our war aim does not consist in reaching certain lines, but in the physical destruction of the enemy. Accordingly, I have placed my death-head formations in readiness - for the present only in the East - with orders to them to send to death mercilessly and without compassion, men, women, and children of Polish derivation and language. Only thus shall we gain the living space (lebensraum) which we need. Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?"

Hitler got the idea for the holocaust from the armenian genocide in turky witch the turks still deny today
he doesnt really care what hes doing to people. its really affensine to the armenians.
Hitler used the brutality of Ghengis Khan for an example and also noticed that everybody has no reaction to the arminian genocide. When i finished reading the quote I was frusterated about it.
I. that Hitler didn't care about what he does and he is more caring about what they will say about him

My reaction to the last sentence in the passage was, "Oh, my gosh! I can't believe Hitler doesn't care that most of a minority diappeared!"
1. That he is looking for the complete physical destruction of there enemy. That history dose not look at the out come not how it happen.

Two of Hitler's justifications for his actions on August 1939 was that when the Armenian Genocide took place the man that was the main cause of the massacre was not remembered for those millions of death corpses but for the creation of a new state for his people. Secondly he bluntly puts that, "with orders to them to send to death mercilessly and without compassion, men, women, and children of Polish derivation and language. Only thus shall we gain the living space (lebensraum) which we need." referring to their absence as more space.
My reaction to the last sentence is that he is saying that who cares about what happened as long as you made it to your goal, then end justifies the means.
Hitler justified comiting genocide on the Jews by saying that he needed more living space and "Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?". By this he means that the Turks never got in trouble for it, so why would Hitler. Hitler was a sick man and he knew what he was doing and he knew what had happended to the Armenians and that he did not care.

1) Because the same thing happend with the Armenians and no one remembers. Second reason is that they need more living space for the Nazi empire to grow.
2) That last sentence to me seems like it shows the reader how memtaly unstabble Hitler was, that he thought that no one remembered what happend with the Armenians so he thought that what he was doing wasn't even a big deal.
